More on working with the laws of attraction.

Q:I often worry about not being able to pay the bills on time. I want to be free from all debt & it’s slow going paying down the balances even though I pay extra. I often find myself saying we can’t afford this or that…the fun extra stuff. I have keep an online gratitude journal. I also have the Louise Hay book you mentioned. I guess the thing I have the most problem is with raising my energy & not letting the reality of our situation drag me down. We’re not in dire straits by any means, but we’re not as comfortable as I’d like to be either. Also, we are a one-income family. I’d love to be able to find a way to earn cash and yet still be here to homeschool my children.

Allison:

I often worry about not being able to pay the bills on time.

Has this ever happened? And even if it does, what’s the worst that will happen? A late payment fee? There are no debt police out there to hunt you down. You’re quite safe.

You won’t be in this situation forever - it’s a temporary glitch on your road to financial independence. Just keep paying down your balances and don’t think about it further. Stay AWAY from all forms of credit in future because buying something on credit is a negative affirmation, plus it drains your energy because it keeps you chained to the past while you pay it offf. Only use your cc for emergencies like medical expenses, home or car emergencies.

The Dave Ramsey plan for paying down debt is a good one.

In terms of raising your energy, you can start doing this by:

  • Watching what you eat - eliminate low energy processed foods and sugar.
  • Be aware of what you are exposing yourself to - late night crime shows with violence, talk back radio where people tawk tawk tawk about thier problems, even shows like Jerry Springer which might be entertaining, but they are certainly low energy.
  • Expose yourself to uplifting things like positive or spiritual music, audio books, tv shows and movies with a positive theme etc.
  • Every time you catch yourself thinking ‘we can’t afford it’, just be gentle with yourself and affirm something like ‘I’m excited to be getting out of debt’ ‘I’m excited to be building wealth’ and so forth. Getting out of debt and living within your means is a huge personal achievement and try and look at it like that rather than as a chore or a sacrifice. It’s a huge achivement and one to be very proud of.
  • Take a walk every day - exercise clears your energy.
  • When you have a shower, visualise the water washing away any negative residue of the day.
  • Ask your angels and gudes to surround you and uplift you.
  • Pray if you are spiritual or religious.
  • Declutter. Let me repeat that. Declutter. Having piles of crap around you drags your energy down like no one’s business. You are energetically attached to everything you own. If you are in a good space, that’s fine, but if you cling or hoard through fear or a poverty mentality, you’re having your energy drained daily - it’s like death by millions of paper cuts.
  • Love everything you have. You mgihtn’t be able to afford to have exactly what you want at this point in time, but love what you do have - clean it,polish it, display it to it’s best advantage. If you have things you don’t want to get rid of but don’t really need, just tidy them and store them neatly. I have gotten rid of hundreds of books over the years and I kind of wish I had kept them, but part of my knows they are better off at the libraries I donated them to or with the people I gave them to to read.

As you might have noticed, I have a lot to say on this topic. Please just ignore anything that doesn’t work for you or you don’t agree with. LOA and energy work is such a personal thing and there is no such thing as one size fits all.

Oh and another thing I recommend you do, if you want to, is to something symbolic to release all the unhelpful energy cords that are tying you to the past through behaviour or belief, and also those negative cords to your parents and family line that may be causing you to perpetuate a poverty consciousness.

What’s happening?

Last year I had some health issues - every card I drew about it was a Sword! LOL!  In typical Gemini fashion, I ignored every warning until I fell in a heap with several health issues and compounded it with being hospitalised for back injury which also affected my neck, previously damaged in a car accident!

Do you think the universe was trying to tell me something? LOL!!  Last year was also a ‘3′ year for me numerologically and there were big lessons about self-nurturing, intuition and self-awareness.  This year is a 4 year for me, so I am looking forward to more stability.

2008 already!

I can’t believe it’s mid January already.  I haven’t even written down any new year’s resolutions.  I guess I had better save them for next year!

The first class of the year starts this Sunday.  I’m a little worried because it’s a smaller space than I would like, but there really aren’t too many rooms for hire at reasonable rates, plus I really wanted to be connected with a new age shop and centre again.  So many years in Mysterys’ HUGE workshop space has me spoilt, I think.  There were times we had 40 or more people in there.  So it will be quite strange going to a small, intimate group but it will have it’s benefits too.

Can you be frugal and still attract abundance?

Shelley: Would using coupons to reduce the grocery expense lower my energy or stop me attracting me abundance? Is it a negative affirmation about money? How about shopping at thrift stores?

Using the laws of attraction to move past a poverty consciousness

Q: I really love the principles of LOA, but I still struggle with having a poverty mentality that I have carried with me since childhood - the fear of not having enough and just barely making ends meet. How do I move past this?

How to be a Money Magnet.

I started working with what we now call the Laws of Attraction in the late 80’s. I worked particularly on money (cos I didn’t have any) and now about half my income comes from areas other than my job - which is handy because I never feel like I’m a slave to the job.

The Reformation of the Establishment

This looks like a really interesting talk coming up at the Adyar Bookshop in Sydney next year.  Put it in your diary!

Pluto in Capricorn: The Reformation of the Establishment - Thu 17 Jan 2008

Talk starts at 6pm - 7.15pm

In 2006 the Establishment demoted Pluto to the status of dwarf planet, and in January 2008 Pluto enters Capricorn, the sign of the Establishment. Pluto’s influence is deep and transformative and the business world, governments and organisational structures with hierarchical power will all come under Pluto’s gaze. Neil Hair Ph.D. is an astrologer and numerologist and principal of the Sydney School of Numerology.

Spirituality v Violence

I don’t know about you but every time I read the news or watch it on tv, there seems to be more and more violence, bloodshed and terror around the world.  How can this be when so many people are embracing spirituality and becoming self-aware?  What happened to the idea of ‘critical mass’, where if enough people start to do something, it eventually slides into the mainstream and becomes commonplace? Wendy’s question.

Q: Will ever get over my mom not being there for me and will we be able to ever have a good relationship.

There are real issues of control in this relationship.  She wants to control you and you want to control her, or at least modify her behaviour.  I get the sense that your mother’s mother is one of the keys in resolving this ongoing family issue.  How was your relationship with her and how was your mother and her relationship?

Your mother is eaten up by a terrible bitterness.  It’s something inside her that she triesto hide but it’s like she nurtures and grows it by not being able to let GO. What we focus on grows and she spends a lot of energy focusing on how she was hard done by or mistreated.  Are your parents divorced or has your mother been married before? The Hierophant and the 3 of Swords are coming up for her and they can indicate being betrayed in a marriage, but also feeling betrayed by god.

However the presence of the spritely Fool lets us know that there is new life ahead for your mother and therefore for your relationship with her. Try and find some forgiveness for her in your heart.   She may never be the mother you want or need, but I think there can be peace between you.

Q: Will you also ask the cards if my sister will ever get her act together and have a decent life?

A: I’m sad to say that without medical help and a good therapist, I don’t think so.  The cards I got for her are the Ace of Swords and the King of Swords alongside the 5 of Wands.  The 5 of Wands shows a constant level of chaos and drama in her life.  Not enough to make her want to change (yet) but enough to keep her distracted from the real issues in front of her.

The Swords cards can indicate both legal issues and health issues and my take on these cards for your sister is that she is at the beginning of a legal situation that may take some time to resolve.

Medically,I feel your sister may actually have ADD or some other learning disability.  She’s not unintelligent, but she can’t quite make things come together the way they do for other people.  she seems to be quite clever and creative but lacks a consistent outlet for this.  It’s hard for her to settle into the routine of employment.

I am also being shown an unresolved trauma that occurred in childhood but not the nature of it.  I feel people were dismissive of her concerns or feelings at the time so it was pushed aside and never addressed properly.  I also feel a strong sense of grief around her in relation to a child as well as her own childhood.  The King of Swords can also be a man who is critical of your sister, at best, and abusive towards her, at worst.  Can you comment on her r’ship with your maternal grandmother?
