No experience needed, just an interest in Tarot. If you have a deck please bring it along. We enjoy seeing new decks and tarot books so feel free to bring your favourites along.

THis is a very informal group and it is a discussion rather than a lesson but there is a wealth of information and perspectives shared, so it’s good for newbies to pick up tips from those with more experience.

Cost is $5 to cover hire of the room. We usually go for coffee afterwards and all are welcome to join.

Designed for the ‘advanced’ beginner, you will have a a general idea of the broader meaning of each card, but lack the know-how or confidence to put together a complete reading.

An in-depth knowledge of the cards isn’t required as I will be also teaching you intuitive reading techniques which require NO knowledge of the cards but you do need to have some degree of familiarity.

We will meet one night per week during which I will guide you through the process of doing an actual reading with a Client so you will learn:

- how to structure a reading
- how to take and keep control of the reading
- how to put your Client, and yourself, at ease
- how to help your Client focus on their specific questions and issues
- what to do when you get confused or uncertain
- how to tap into your intuition
- and much more.

Classes will be held at Newtown, Sydney 6.30-9pm on Wednesday 18 Jan, 25 Jan, 1 Feb and 8 Feb.

There are two ways to participate

1. Sign up for the BootCamp as a student at a cost of $80 (covers 10 hours tuition and any materials)

2. Sign up to be a Client at a cost of $20. You will need to allow about an hour and a half for your reading.  If you’re a member of the official Meetup.com group Tarotcraft - Tarot Meetup (Sydney area) there is no charge to be a client.

Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of payment, which is to be paid in full two weeks prior to start of first class. Due to limited numbers, fees are transferable but not refundable.

This is not a first in, first served basis. I will be selecting students who have a similar level of experience to work together. If I don’t select you for this class, you’ll be first on the waiting list for the next one.I plan to run these regularly through 2012 if there is enough demand.

What does the work require from us and what do we bring to it? 

The well must be full before others can drink from it.  It serves no one to let ourselves get ‘empty’ to the point where we are superficial and can only give ‘canned’ answers at best.  It is very helpful to consult with those who do similar work. During these sessions there will be opportunities to explore the difficult and celebratory moments that arise in client sessions, relationship issues with clients and themes that are problematic such as boundary issues, self-value and ‘getting stuck’, as well as the practicalities of building and marketing a business.

Vicky has a fight with her husband and is left feeling angry and disempowered. Her Ego will whisper in her ear to go buy a new outfit, or have a few drinks, or go through McDonald’s drive through because it will soothe the Ego and make her feel better for a little while. The Ego wants instant gratification and hates waiting. Meanwhile, her Soul encourages her to go into the pain, make friends with it and transform it into Light. Perhaps Vicky is continuing a pattern from her childhood, one in which she was invalidated or ignored by a parent. However if we remain open and hold the intention to listen with our heart and be guided by our Soul, Tarot has an almost magical ability to reveal our innermost desires and the next step in our path.

We have a new venue and new timeslot. 333 King Street is just opposite Fitness First, which is just next to Newtown station. We are in Studio 3 on Level 1.

We found the cafe in Glebe just too noisy and hard to hear, so this venue is private and much easier to work in. However, that does mean there will be a $5 charge per person to cover costs.

I was hoping you could give me a Tarot Reading. I feel as though my whole Life has fallen apart and everything I have planned has turned upside down.  I recently broke up with My Fiance, the man who I thought I would spend the rest of my life with and made future plans together, and they are are now shattered and I am left feeling lost.  I am not happy in my current work situation and have finished a Diploma but can’t get any work in the industry.  Do you see anything in store for me? Hi Samantha,

It does sound like you are going through a rough time in your life at that moment.  With regard to your Fiance, if he was the one for you, nothing would have stopped it from happening. Your Higher Self knew it wasn’t the right situation for you and that there was someone out there better for you.  The cards coming up for you are the 7 of Pentacles and The Empress - relating to worries around your security and future children in regard to relationships.  I can assure you that the right man is on the way and I see him as a taller man with dark hair and I see two children with you both, a boy and a girl.

The King of Swords and The Sun come up in relation to your career question and it is clear that you WILL find fulfilling work in your desired area.  It may take a few more months but I feel you will have this issue settled by the end of the year.  The King of Swords can also relate to teaching, education and training so perhaps your career will be in a related field or you will do some further study yourself.  I am sensing that you have some talent in this area.

I pulled one further card for you and we got The High Priestess.  You have come into this life with a very specific spiritual purpose. Anything that does not pan out means it was not for your highest good and would take you away from your purpose. Helping others is a strong part of your purpose, as well as becoming stronger within ourself. The High Priestess is also a teacher so I wonder if this is a further hint for you in this area.

Join us for monthly meetups, study groups and workshops. This is a social gathering for informal discussion, sharing ideas and comparing decks. Those new to Tarot won’t learn to read the cards by coming along, but they will be able to observe others doing readings for each other and pick up some pointers.
