How to be a Money Magnet.
I started working with what we now call the Laws of Attraction in the late 80’s. I worked particularly on money (cos I didn’t have any) and now about half my income comes from areas other than my job - which is handy because I never feel like I’m a slave to the job.
I got very practiced at attracting money when I needed it - even thousands of dollars, and attracting things like my flat. I put out for a certain list of criteria, the number one being a certain price/repayment. I ended up paying $1,000 more than I had on my list. However it’s still so cheap that no one believes me when I tell them what I paid for it.
Three neighbouring flats of the same layout and condition have been sold for between $70-90,000 more than I paid in June this year.
The problem I was having with the affirmations like “I am a money magnet, money comes to me easily, every day.” is that I felt like I was a bucket with a hole in it. No matter how much I could manifest coming in, just as much seemed to go out, so I was always putting energy into manifesting money.
It recently occureed to me that what I wanted was a passive income from property investments, stocks and shares etc so I could live off that income now and in the future and do what I love doing without having to worry about earning a living. So now my money affirmations are still “I attract money every day” “My income grows daily” etc, but I add in “My net worth is xxx”, “My investment portfolio is worth xxx”, “I have a real estate portfolio worth xxx”
I realised I needed to round the picture out so I wasn’t just focusing on money coming to me from the universe today (which is fine and worked for me for years) but focusing on building wealth, and that wealth building more wealth.
The day I started doing that, I got a check in the mail for $500 from the sale of some shares I don’t even remember receiving. I think I got them when an organisation I am a member of floated on the stock exchange and I opted to sell my shares back to the company instead of keeping them. I think. I still haven’t workedit out. Then a few days later I got invited to a stock investing seminar and became eligible for the staff share trading system at work. And I was given leads on two properties that althoug I’m not quite ready to buy again yet as I have only just brought this place, it’s showing me I’m on the right track and that it’s all within reach.
I have a friend who is putting her LOA efforts into winning lotto and I hope it works for her, but I don’t have the level of belief necessary for that. Also, I have a fear of having tat much money because I don’t know how I would manage it. So it’s easier for me to visialise investments and real estate portfolios. It feels more tangible. I still keep myself open to money coming to me from any source. A stranger once walked up to me on the street and gave me $500 and walked away.
I have also had three sums of money actually manifest out of thin air - one was around $540 when I was very sick and the other two times were around $50 when I was donw to my last cent and had no more money until payday - very desperate times when I was younger.
The $540 is particularly significant because it was money I owed my landlord. I was very sick at the time so my house mate did the manifesting. She put out that “Patch will receive the money she needs to pay the landlord”. Within hours, the money actually appeared in my purse. No one else knew and my house mate was on a very low income and had her own debts - she swears on her child’s life that she didn’t put the money there. However she was disappointed bec she thought I needed $600 to pay the landlord so that is what she was aiming her intention at. I actually owed $60 less becuase I had paid a bill on behalf of the landlord, so the money that materialised was actually the exact amount necessary.
