Shelley: Would using coupons to reduce the grocery expense lower my energy or stop me attracting me abundance? Is it a negative affirmation about money? How about shopping at thrift stores?

Allison: Not at all. It’s sensible financial management! I do it all the time and feel good about the money I’m saving that I can put to better use. When buying things from thrift stores, antique stores or other second hand stores - even eBay, be careful to clear the object of any old energy before bringing it into your home.

Leave it in the sun and fresh air for an hour or so, waft it through some incense or a smudge stick.

There is truly no energetic pay off in buying expensive things. It might make you feel better and it’s fine if money is no object, but right now your focus is on freeing up your energy and clearing your debt. The key is to feel GOOD about it and EXCITED about it, not feeling like it’s a chore, a punishment or something to be ashamed of. I buy most of my clothes at Target and only buy things on special. I’d rather save $10 and put in on a credit card or splurge on coffee with a friend.
