Week 9 already!
So last night was week 9 of our 24 week Major Arcana tarot course. I got the class to split up into two groups and allocated them each a tarot card. One group had the 3 of Pentacles and the other had the 3 of Cups. They had about 10 minutes to put together a short presentation of how they interpreted the card.
It was really quite fascinating to see how the energy of the card came through in their preparation as well as in their presentations. The 3 of Cups were outside shrieking with laughter and jumping around. This group decided that they would go with the facet of the card that shows two energies combining to create a third. So one team member gave birth to a pillow with the support and encouragement of the others. Then they all got up and did a dance around the pillow. It was very light, joyous and very Cups!
The other group took a more cerebral, linear approach and discussed which figure they could see themselves reflected in and how that figure was interacting with the others. The builder was thought to have been drinking on the job and the robed character was the creative influence behind the building of the cathedral. It was a very Pentacles approach!
Have I mentioned I love Tarot?
Then we discussed the Strength Card and next week we will be looking at the Hermit.
